The Earle House will be created to respond to the urgent need for more housing and services for women and their children left homeless. The Earle House “Home with a Mom’s Heart” Will provide families with safe housing and comprehensive services to help them overcome homelessness and abuse. The Earle House “Home with a Mom’s Heart” will identify the greatest needs. Additional housing (by itself) is not enough. Survivors of being homeless need constant support in a structured, nurturing environment in order to recover and create a new way of life for themselves and their children.
These tough economic times identify the need for The Earle house to combat and assist more homeless families. To meet this challenge, we have put together a new initiative called The Earle House “”Home with a Mom’s Heart” to expand our capacity for assistance to all families in need. Unlike other service-enriched housing programs, The Earle House will occupy a small apartment building or home in Southern California. Staff will be on-site around the clock to keep the women and children safe and help them cope with the after-effects of being homeless while they build the many skills needed in order to create safe and stable lives.
The Earle House “Home with a Mom’s Heart” will extend its services to the community at large through a Support Center and a Moms space Child and Development Center. At the Support Center, The goal will be to provide a home for more than 200 plus women each year in transition from homeless situations. The Earle House will cater to women and children of all nationalities.
We plan to provide free counseling, daycare and job placement assistance to help them work through issues surrounding their current situations. Through group and individual counseling, women come to understand the impact that being homeless has had on their lives.
The staff will be delivering group counseling to the women living at The Earle House. The focus at the Support Center is to provide individual counseling while transitioning to permanent environment.
